I am Adarsh T from Thiruvanthapuram, which is the capital of Kerala and I am a geographer with an interest in physical geography and a naturalist with an interest in the environmental conservation, a freelance GIS analyst with a special interest in Geographic Information Systems and Remote sensing and a climate educator where I focus on environmental education for youth in order to effect positive social change for a better future.

I am currently a full-time researcher in geography and also working as a Member of the Board of Directors at Climatehood Foundation (NGO) from 2019 onwards. Climatehood is a climate youth fraternity aiming to encourage young people and the general public to bring about changes in their attitudes and behaviors, helping them adapt to climate change-related trends, nurturing climate resilience and emphasizing climate literacy and a Shaper at the Global Shapers Trivandrum Hub, which is the youth wing of the World Economic Forum. I am a Commission member of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) of Southeast Asia.

I worked as a Guest Faculty in the Department of Disaster Management for around 6 months at Loyola College of Social Sciences, Sreekaryam and an Assistant Professor on contract in the Department of Geology at Fatima Mata National College, Kollam for 2 Months.

I am currently pursuing Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geography at the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit and a Master of Arts (M.A) in Development Studies at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) via distance education. I have completed my Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Geography at the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit with the second rank. I completed a Post Graduate Diploma (PGDGIST) in Geo-Information Science and Technology (GIST) at the University of Kerala with the fifth rank and a Post-Graduation (M.Sc.) in Geography at the University of Calicut with the second rank. I completed my graduation (B.Sc.) in Geography at the University of Kerala.

I completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Disaster Management from IISDT and Diploma in Computer Applications from Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT), DTP (Desktop Publishing) from the Integrated Information Technology Centre, Karakulam. I have certification in Natural Hazard and Disaster Management from the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady and a certification in PC Hardware and Networking from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) training institute.

In addition to having completed more than 120 online short-term courses and attending more than 50+ training programmes including offline and online events, I have also attended more than 250 scientific events (both offline and online), including conferences, seminars, and webinars, etc.

​

I am a certified Cyber Crime intervention officer (CCIO) from the Information Sharing and analysis Center (ISAC), which is India’s leading non-profit foundation advancing national cyber security and a certified climate educator from Climate Reality Project who has conducted sessions on climate change and sustainability at over 25+ educational institutions including schools and colleges in Trivandrum since 2018. I have more than 9 years of extensive volunteer experience at local, regional, and national events in the fields of social work and environmental management and Disaster Management.

I worked as a Climate Educator and Green Reporter as part of Climatehood Foundation's Global Climate Education Month, as a Climate educator as part of the C5 Organization's Global Climate Education Week, as a Programme Committee member for the A-Zone Art Festival in Calicut University for the consecutive years of 2018 & 2017 and as an IQAC Student Co-Ordinator in Government College Chittur and as an Executive Committee member of Yuvasamathi Palakkad. Taskforce member on the district organizing committee for the National Games of Kerala under the District Collector, Department Secretary of Geography at Govt. College Kariavattom.

I am a member of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN), Indian Youth Biodiversity Network (IYBN), World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA), Climate Reality Project, Global Shapers Community, Google Crowd Source Community, and Google Map Local Community.
